  • As a qualified social worker, I offer counselling, therapy and support. I tailor my approach to each individual I work with based on their need, however, am broadly informed by various therapeutic models such as

    • Trauma Informed Care

    • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

    • Solution Focused Therapy.

  • Each person will have a different session based on their reasons for seeking support, however, a typical session will include:

    • Discussing your concerns, things you want to change and goals.

    • Exploring thoughts and feelings about your situation.

    • Developing a plan together on how you will make changes to your situation.

    • Choosing a specific strategy or tool for you to focus on in between sessions.

    • In the next session, we will start by checking in on what worked or didn’t work between sessions and anything we need to change with the plan.

  • I have worked with parents, carers and child through the most difficult times of their lives, and have a deep empathy and understanding for people who find themselves in circumstances they never thought they would. I am also a mother, and understand the pressures of being both a working mother and stay at home mother, both are overwhelming. I appreciate an approach that is warm, non-judgemental and compassionate, but I also am very solutions focussed, and want people I work with to be able to leave not just feeling lighter, but to also know that they have tools and strategies to make genuine change in their lives.
